Ladies and Gentlemen, the Arc de Triomphe! It’s taken me a few days which I probably should’ve spent doing uni coursework, but I reckon it was worth it. It’s roughly to scale (give or take a couple metres) based on the conversion of 1 metre squared to 1 minecraft block. I’m working on the interior and I’m planning on putting a cafe or something on the top, so I’ll upload more pictures when that’s done. What dya think?
This was the second thing I made on the server, after a nice, small, modest wooden hut. It’s completely hollow, and I made it before I discovered creative mode, so you can enter one of the feet and walk all way to the top of the head (in which I think an enderman spawned before I lit it properly), or even emerge from the pickaxe. Then my good friends though they’d help out by adding an awsm face and then Zoidberg, and also a certain pink extrusion in the groinal area, complete with moss at the base and a stream of water that falls into a working flushing toilet. Thanks guys.
My finished clock! Accurate to the second as long as at least one person’s on the server, and it now has a control room with a master switch and modifier buttons to change each digit. I also wrote my name in solid diamond and lined the clock with gold, cuz, y’know, I’m modest like that. I’m pretty sure I’ve got a glowstone addiction.
A 24 hour clock I’m working on, using piston powered 7 segment displays, lots of redstone repeaters and buttons to change each digit independently, so I can tweak it for daylight savings and if it ever goes out of time. After a few days work, it’s very nearly finished, it’ll mostly be aesthetic work from now on, and I’ll upload more pictures when I’m done. Also, despite my best efforts, a creeper managed to spawn on one of the counters. Very nearly had a heart attack when I saw it, and went all Hawkeye on its ass.
