Hello there.
I’m gonna go ahead and precede this autobiography with a sort of foreword I guess (it’s like writing a book about myself. Eurgh); I’m open to chatting and whatnot, so there’s my ask and submit boxes, which are always open, and I also have a pesterchum account under the username acousticChronos, which is less frequented but just as open to chatting.
So, I see you’ve stumbled onto my ‘me’ page. I’m honoured. No, really, I am; it would seem that links to my Facebook, Twitter and Youtube aren’t enough to sedate your thirst for knowledge about me. Ok, I’m sounding a bit pretentious now, sorry, but if you really must, I’ll post a couple things here about me.
So, I’m a student at Birmingham City University doing a BSc in Music Tech, which is awesome (also, my blog is called Awesome Sauce because that is my term for anything really really cool - if it actually existed, it would be rainbow coloured and taste of win. On a side note, either Tumblr or Firefox (or both (inception brackets)) is apparently American and is trying to change coloured to colored (although Chrome apparently has a British dictionary - I have yet to test IE and Safari); I say no to this tyranny, and thus the red squiggly line of spelling check shame shall remain in place, but I digress).
I play guitar (mostly acoustic) and write and perform music under the alias PandEmmic - saying that, I do pretty much everything under the alias PandEmmic, so if you see something with that username, there’s about a 98.395% chance that it’s me. The double m is important as well; I’m well aware it’s spelt wrong but hey I’m kinda starting to get used to PandEmmic being my internet name. It’s pretty cool.
I thoroughly enjoy games. When I say I’m a gamer, I don’t mean I play MW2 multiplayer all the time - I like multiplayer, but I much prefer campaign or mission style games that have a good backstory and aim. I also sometimes need to change underwear when encountering new graphics. Above all, games should be involving - it annoys me when people say “you know games aren’t real, right?”. Yes, thank you, I’m aware they aren’t, and neither are films or books or plays, but if a game doesn’t make you feel like you’re the one saving the Earth from an alien invasion, or winning the grand prix for the 3rd time, or defeating Gideon so you can get Ramona back, then it’s not doing its job as a game.
I like logic and philosophy. My philosophy on life is pretty much every man (or woman, of course) to himself (or herself), as long as you choose it yourself. Don’t follow a religion because your parents do, but equally don’t let me poke logical holes in your beliefs - assess all the information and choose what makes you happy.
I’m pretty laid back. Actually, I’ve been called horizontal by friends on multiple occasions, and when meeting new people they tend to assume I’m either a musician or a stoner, so I guess I must be pretty chilled. I like it like that - there’s no point getting pissed about stuff when it isn’t gonna change anything; just keep cool and do what you need to do.
I ride a motorbike, currently a blue Suzuki Intruder 125 (what with not having passed my full test yet), which is awesome, especially when I go on dodgems in my leathers and people call me the stig.
I like listening to a fair few different genres of music, but it tends to be either ska-punk or electro indie rock at the moment, with Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Architecture in Helsinki and Death Cab for Cutie springing to mind. I also like instrumental music (like 65daysofstatic) and soundtracks, particularly the soundtracks to Portal 2, Tron: Legacy and Homestuck (of which there is a LOT).
I like reading comics, and it annoys me when people think they’re juvenile. I love Marvel, and am currently (trying, anyway) working my way through the entire X-men, Spider-man and Deadpool backlogs, starting from 1963, while trying to keep up with current events, like Amazing Spider-man and Avengers vs X-men. My favourite character is by far Spider-man, followed closely by Deadpool, Wolverine, Iron Man and Shadowcat, respectively.
I like watching TV shows as well, and I’m up to date with Dexter, Supernatural, the Legend of Korra and Adventure Time. I’ve also watched Chuck, Heroes and the Last Airbender (the series, not the film. Well, I’ve seen the film as well, but let’s not go there).
Another thing I’m up to date with is Homestuck, which I heartily recommend, and after I took Inaniloquacity’s (in conjunction with BladekindEyewear) test I found out that, if I were to play Sburb, I’d be an Heir of Time with a dream self on Derse, and my planet in the Medium would be the Land of Glass and Rhythm.
So yeah, I think that’s pretty much it. If you’ve read this far, I both congratulate and thank you. Feel free to ask me anything, and I’ll probably answer, unless you go anonymous and ask me for my pin number. There’s limits, y’know? Also, there used to be a gallery here but I figured you can just go to my tagged face or gpoy page if you want pictures of me.
Like I said, if you want to chat then go for it, and that’s it. Toodles.
